Small-business owners treasure the relationships they have with all of their customers. They also love what they do, and play an important role in supporting their communities while delivering high-quality products. Enter, Ericka Castellon, mother of two, businesswoman, Latina, and owner of Lashes on Lashes.
Lashes on Lashes is a lash extension business that provides premium quality products to lash technicians, lash artists, MUAs, aestheticians, cosmetologists, and other clients. These products are at the forefront of the industry, as they are always one step ahead of innovation. Ericka’s goal is to be the first and only stop for lash technicians’ product needs.
Lashes On Lashes, set aside from other lash brands because of all the time and effort Ericka puts into her own business and products. She puts in all her heart and truly wants what’s best for lash artists and their clients. Ericka takes into consideration every aspect of her products: the quality, the packaging, the convenience, and the pricing. Compared to other companies that only care about making a profit, Lashes on Lashes cares directly to clients, and always bears their well-being in mind.
Ericka’s story began back in high school when she utilized her creativity to involve herself in the world of fashion. Then, Ericka researched which fashion schools she wanted to attend yet due to financial issues, was something unreachable at the moment. In the end, she studied to become a dental assistant but struggled to find a good work environment and a schedule that worked for her.
Ericka wasn’t happy in her work environment and had no outlet to be creative at the time. As a mother of two, including having a job to look after them was a top priority as well. With every paycheck, Ericka saved money little by little to take a lash course, while still having a full-time job and taking care of her boys. By 2017, Ericka bet on herself, quit her job, and finally materialized Lashes On Lashes. Ericka had no experience in business yet successfully managed to grow her lash supply brand because she believed in herself and put all her trust in the beauty industry to create the wealth she now has for her children and herself.
“My inspiration has always been my family, especially my two boys. I want to be a good role model for them and to let them know that everything is possible. I did not get the chance to go to college and pursue a career in fashion. That path did not work out for me, but I want to let my children know that they can always do whatever they set their mind to and that it doesn’t matter where you come from.” says Ericka
Fast forward to now, Ericka has a vending machine in the Northridge mall and is looking to expand and grow her business, by having the right vending machine in the right spots and hoping to open a store location soon. Her goal now is to have many vending machines to supply the San Fernando Valley and grow to other cities.
