Adam Jabari Davis knew that he was meant to model and act from an early age. He would create content early on, and ended up performing in multiple plays during his time in college. In 2017, Adam created a video that went viral, allowing him to have great opportunities with multiple brands. He fell in love with modeling and began to perfect his craft. Today, Adam has worked with over 100 brands and continues to grow as he gains more and more experience.
As a model and actor, Adam enjoys using his platform to help educate other people on how to get started in the industry, as well as how to lengthen the longevity of your career in modeling and acting.
“It always warms my heart when I am able to watch one of my students grow,” shares Adam.
As a young kid, Adam was not always accepted by the people around him. In fact, he was made fun of by other kids around him, which took a toll on his confidence. However, he did not let the fear of what other people thought take over his life. Instead, Adam worked on his mindset & confidence, and decided to go after what he loves to do. As he saw other creatives networking and creating beautiful imagery, Adam was sure that creating art is what he wanted to do as a career. After getting through the different obstacles of the modeling industry including learning how to be comfortable in front of a camera, finding the right agency, and finding his place in the industry, Adam’s career really took off. Now, he is able to create art through his work in the modeling and acting industry while using this to support himself and his family, who serve as his motivation.
“There is never a perfect time to go out and start your new career path but you just have to make up your mind and go with your gut. You will thank yourself years down the road,” says Adam.
One of the important keys to success is never staying stagnant. Hence, Adam sets new milestones on what success looks like and sets different goals for himself each year. Last year, Adam’s goal was to get on a Netflix show. By manifesting his goals, he was able to get on All American, as well as Young Rock on NBC. This year, Adam is working on a short film that will push him further outside his comfort zone, and get him closer to what he may want to do in the future.
